5K by DayX is very easy-to-follow beginner run/walk training program to
get you off the couch and ready-to-run 5 km (3.1 miles) in about 8 Weeks
Youll be training Just 3 Days a week for 30 minutes/Day.
This program starts slowly (more walking than running),
then gradually increases the time spent running until youre able
to the complete 5 km (3.1miles) distance without walking.
During the exercise, audio cues tell you when to walk, run, warmup, cool down.
So take your headphones with you. (of course you can listen to music or
podcasts using any installed music player or Podcast app)
You need Rest days to recover during a training program and Rest days are
a part of 5k by DayX

Some bad moments
What a great app! Definitely going to be better prepared for my next 5k.
Great app, its helping me build toward my fitness goal because the running program is doable for a beginner but its trackable so its holding me accountable.
Really love this app... I always thought that i didnt like to run but it makes it easy.
have been doing tremendous progress in a few weeks just by following the instructions (most of the time ^^)
Getting off the couch to go running is tough and this app made it much easier for me. The audio encouragements and the graphics are well done, I would highly recommend it for people who tend to procrastinate.
Cannot change start date. Maybe should work off of the 3 runs a week other than strict date schedule. Also you have to "complete" rest days?
Randomly will skip to the next stage in the middle of the current one if you have the screen locked.
Because of the previous issue I have to run with an unlocked screen, which then makes the screen easy to accidentally hit and drains the hell out of my battery. Could add a lock screen within the app itself.
i wanted to start running again and this is an awesome app, it is beautifully designed and paces you so well. easy to follow was well as challenging enough to keep you going. best way to start training to run!
